1. General Information
Villámpiac (villampiac.hu) is an intermediary platform — the sales contract is formed directly between the producer (seller) and the buyer (consumer). The producer is responsible for product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Payment takes place in person at pickup — Villámpiac does not handle money and does not participate in the payment process.
2. How Purchasing Works
- Browse the producers' offerings and select the desired products.
- Add products to your cart and select a market day.
- Send your reservation.
- The producer confirms the reservation — the product is set aside for you.
- Pick up in person from the producer on market day and pay on site.
3. Prices and Payment
- Prices displayed on the platform are gross prices (including VAT), expressed in HUF (Ft).
- Payment takes place at pickup. The producer determines the accepted payment methods (cash, bank card, wire transfer).
- Using the platform is free — no commission is charged to either the buyer or the producer.
- For products priced by weight (e.g., meat, cheese), the displayed price is estimated — the final price is determined by the actual weight measured at pickup.
4. Reservation cancellation
Your reservation may be cancelled free of charge at any time before the market day, on your reservations page.
Right of withdrawal (14-day): the right of withdrawal under Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) is limited for Villámpiac, as perishable food products are exempt from the withdrawal right for distance contracts (Section 29(1)(d)).
5. Warranty
For food products, the producer bears the warranty obligations under the Hungarian Civil Code (Act V of 2013). In case of a defective product, contact the producer first.
- Warranty for defects: the product must conform to the properties specified in the contract or by law at the time of pickup.
- Complaint: report the defective product to the producer at the moment of pickup. If the issue cannot be resolved on-site, you may coordinate through the producer's contact details.
6. Complaint Handling
6.1 Product Dispute
Report product-related complaints (quality, quantity, price) directly to the producer first. You can find the producer's contact details on their profile page.
6.2 Platform Complaint
You may send platform-related complaints (technical issues, ratings, account management) to hello@villampiac.hu. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Legal Remedies
If your complaint is not resolved satisfactorily, you may contact the following bodies:
Conciliation Bodies
You may contact the conciliation body operating alongside the county chamber of commerce and industry at your place of residence or stay. The list of bodies is available at bekelteto.hu.

You may file a consumer protection complaint with the consumer protection department of the district office at your place of residence.
Online Dispute Resolution Platform
The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR) ceased operations on 20 July 2025. For disputes related to online purchases, you may contact the conciliation bodies listed above.
Food Safety Report
In case of food safety concerns or irregularities, you may file a report with the Hungarian National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH): portal.nebih.gov.hu
