1. Description of the Service

Villámpiac (villampiac.hu) is an online platform operated by Remény Farm Kft. (3343 Bekölce, Szabadság utca 50., Hungary; tax number: 2667089-2-10) that facilitates direct connection between local food producers and buyers based on the REKO model.

The platform provides an intermediary service under the Hungarian Act CVIII of 2001 on Electronic Commerce (Ekertv.) and Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (DSA). The platform is not a party to the sale and does not process payments in the specific transaction between the producer and the buyer. A reservation placed on the platform and the producer's confirmation do not create a sale contract. The sale contract is concluded between the producer and the buyer in person on the selected market day at pickup, when payment is made on site.

2. Registration and Account Management

• Use of the platform requires registration (email/password or Google account).
• By registering, you accept these terms of service and the Privacy Policy.
• You must provide accurate information. Providing false information may result in account suspension.
• Keeping your password secure is your responsibility. In case of suspected unauthorized access, notify us immediately.
• You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings or by sending a request to hello@villampiac.hu.

3. Reservations and in-person pickup

• Through the platform, the buyer may submit a reservation (set-aside request) for the selected producer's products for a specific market day.
• Sending a reservation does not constitute a binding offer to purchase and does not create a sale contract.
• The producer's response only confirms that the product will be set aside for the buyer for the selected market day.
• Payment takes place only at pickup, in person, using the payment methods accepted by the producer.
• The reservation may be cancelled free of charge at any time before market day.

4. Pickup and No-Shows

• Reserved products may be collected in person at the selected location and on the selected market day within the specified time window.
• If the buyer does not appear for pickup (no-show), the producer may freely sell the set-aside products to someone else.
• In the case of repeated no-shows, producers may leave a negative trust-system rating, which may limit future reservation options.

5. Trust System and Data Sharing

Producers may rate buyers based on their past experience (negative, neutral, trusted) and attach free-text notes. Both ratings and notes are visible to all producers on the platform.

When you submit a reservation, the producer receives your name, email address, and phone number (if provided) in order to organise pickup. The producer can view your previous reservations placed with them.

6. Platform Liability

• The platform provides an intermediary service — it is not responsible for the quality, safety, or compliance of products offered by producers.
• Product descriptions and prices are uploaded by the producers themselves.
• The platform makes every reasonable effort to ensure continuous availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation.
• In case of food safety concerns, contact the producer or the Hungarian National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH).

7. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are prohibited when using the platform:

• Providing false or misleading information
• Intentionally disrupting platform operations
• Unauthorized collection of other users' data
• Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract platform content
• Copying platform content without permission

8. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms. You will be notified of changes on the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

9. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by Hungarian law. In case of a dispute, the parties shall first attempt amicable resolution. If unsuccessful:

• Conciliation body: you may contact the conciliation body operating alongside the county chamber of commerce and industry at your place of residence.
• Court: the Eger District Court has jurisdiction in matters within its competence.
